5 Easy Steps to Customizing Your Wedding Ties
1. Plan Ahead
Give yourself some time to enjoy the process! Although we pride ourselves on fast turnarounds, it's always wise to get started at least 4-6 weeks (or more) before your wedding to allow some time for color matching and to avoid having to pay for an expedited turnaround.
Ultimately, to match or not to match really just depends on your vision for your wedding party. But if you decide you want your groomsmen to match your bridesmaids dresses, use our color matching dos and don’ts below to make sure they look great!
After all, you don’t want to twitch every time you look at your wedding photos because the colors are off.
2. Determine Your Colors
Color plays a major role in tying your wedding aesthetic together (pun intended). You'll want to order our ColorMatch Chart to find the perfect palette of colors to complement your bridal party’s attire, florals, or suiting. We also offer matches to popular bridal dress brands like Azazie.
PRO TIP: Create a color palette of at least 6 colors which includes the main color or background color as well as accent colors and neutral tones to compliment. Our patterns all contain 2-6 colors so you'll be able to customize any pattern that grabs your eye!
3. Select Your Pattern
Pick from hundreds of tie patterns on our site or customize a solid colored necktie. Whether you’re drawn to floral motifs, classic plaids, or playful patterns inspired by your favorite hobbies, our customizable tie patterns allow you to design a tie (or a set of ties) that reflects your wedding vision. You can even add initials for extra personalization with our monogram options.
4. Recolor Your Pattern
To recolor, just click the "customize colors" button and you'll enter the customizer tool. Click one of the current colors from the pattern up above that you want to replace, and then find a color from the color library below to replace it with by simply clicking on the new color.
Filter colors by dress designer or color family and even search for a specific color name from the ColorMatch Chart. Once you have all of your new colors applied, you can change up their positions by dragging them left to right or click "shuffle" until you love what you see.
5. Choose Your Size
Select from 3 different widths and 4 different lengths to get the size of your wedding ties just right for each wearer. Want a wider tie for Dad? Need longer ties for tall members of the wedding party? We make it easy to find the perfect size so everyone looks and feels their best.
