Will my tie colors look the same in person as they do on my screen?
The simple answer is no. Because all screens are calibrated differently, and the natural differences between printed fabric and computer screens, there will be some variation between the digital proof and your finished product. The only way for us to guarantee colors is by picking them with our printed ColorMatch Chart or providing us with specific Pantone values.
How do I match colors on my own?
To match colors in person, you'll want to order the Knotty Tie ColorMatch Chart. This way you can verify and preview colors before you order your products.
The chart consists of over 560 of our standard colors printed onto the same recycled polyester twill used for our ties, bow ties, pocket squares, and suspenders. Not only will you get to see and feel a sample of our fabric, but you will also get to choose specific colors from the chart that match the color palette you have in mind. You will be able to easily match to garments, swatches, and even florals.
Remember, not all blush pinks are created equal! Even if you see a color on our chart that is named the same as the color you are matching to, it is vital to order our ColorMatch Chart and verify. Don't forget to find matches for your accent colors as well. Our customizable patterns range from 2-6 colors so we always advise selecting a palette of at least six colors.

How do I find the best match?
FIND YOUR LIGHT. Colors look different indoors than outdoors and at different times of day. Try to recreate the lighting of your event to find your best match.
REDUCE OPTICAL ILLUSIONS. Try isolating the shades you are considering by folding the excess fabric out of the way or using a viewfinder.
CONTRAST IS KEY. In order for your pattern to show up, avoid selecting colors that are too similar.
Can you match popular bridesmaid's dress colors?
Yes, we use our in house color matching technology to match the color profiles of two major bridesmaids dress designers' collections. These designer colors are featured on our printed ColorMatch Chart as well. Best of all, you're able to use these colors on all customizable designs in both patterned and solid products!
We recommend that before submitting a custom design request, you first order a ColorMatch Chart to ensure that your custom design proofs will feature the correct colors. Just be sure to include those color names in your custom submission. If you've already received a chart and found your matches, please visit our design form to begin the custom design process. A designer will send over your first set of proofs in 1-2 business days!

Can you match to Pantone values?
Yes, through our custom design process we can match to hundreds of coated and uncoated Pantones for seamless color matching to your brand's color standards. You will be prompted to select your Pantone colors when you complete your custom design submission.

Do you offer swatches or samples?
Absolutely! For custom designs you can order swatches in any of your designs right from your project page at any time. With no minimums on custom orders you are always welcome to order just one custom product as a sample run first to see the quality and print before placing a much larger order.
